  • Cromwell Weir sits at the bottom of the River Trent, just downstream of Newark.

  • If/when permitted, Cromwell hydropower station will comprise of three 600kW axial turbines which will protect fish and eels by a custom-designed inlet screen

  • If/when commissioned, it will:

    • generate around 8,500,000 units (kWh) per annum…

    • enough electricity to take around 2500 average UK homes off the grid almost in perpetuity
